In Bethlehem.

Last night, we did our first Palestine performance of The Rebel Cell. An audience of internationals (here volunteering or working for NGO’s) and Palestinians. The issues of freedom of speech and movement, imprisonment and resistance in The Rebel Cell have never felt so relevant.

There is a high grey wall separating Bethlehem from Jerusalem, from its own suburbs, from the farmland that is supposed to belong to the people here. At the moment, the checkpoints are closed- the people here can’t get out, and that grey wall is the edge of their freedom.
